I have the list of files (which include .doc, .xlsx and .pdf), in a specified directory. Is there a way to read through each file to search for specific data without opening each one? I realize that pdf's are going to be somewhat impossible, but I'm trying
to get the excel and word files to work first. There are potentially 1,000+ files in some directories that this tool will be used on, and if possible, it would be nice to avoid the constant opening and closing of each file. Ultimately, I am trying to rename
each file based on information supplied within each file. Thanks to anyone who has any help to offer!
