What this Arrays means

Hi 

can anyone can help me to understand this array  i saw this in a book 

var names = new[] {new{Name="Kasun",Age="23"}, 
                                new{Name="Tim",Age="30"},
                                 new{Name="Tom",Age="16"},        
                                  new{Name="Max",Age="50"},         
                                  new{Name="Jerad",Age="35"} };
